Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last updated 16 August 2026.

This page states, in one place, what happens when you stop paying. It is deliberately short, and it is deliberately not written in your favour on one point and firmly in your favour on another. We would rather you read both before you buy than discover either afterwards.

1. The whole policy in four lines

2. What "cancel" means here

Cancelling stops the renewal. It does not shorten the term you have paid for, and it does not trigger a refund. If you cancel a monthly subscription on day two, you keep the service for the remaining twenty-eight days or so and are not billed again. If you cancel an annual subscription in month one, you keep it for the remaining eleven months and are not billed again.

You can do this yourself, at any time, from your account. You do not need to contact us, give notice, or explain why.

3. Why the trade runs both ways

The two halves of this policy are deliberately linked, and we think it is fairer stated plainly than buried.

We will not cut you off early. For the on-premise products this is not merely a promise of restraint — it is how the software is built. Your licence carries its own expiry date and is verified offline, so we have no remote switch to throw and no phone-home to withhold. A cancelled licence keeps working, on your infrastructure, until the term you paid for expires. Then it expires and is not renewed.

And we will not refund you early. That is the other side of the same trade. If it is the wrong shape for you, the answer is not to argue it after the fact — it is to ask for a time-boxed evaluation licence before committing, which we would rather issue than have you buy a year you did not want.

4. Evaluation licences

If you are unsure, ask for one. Write to sales@saluca.com before you buy. An evaluation licence is time-boxed, expires on its own, and requires no cancellation because there is nothing to cancel.

5. The narrow exceptions

Three, and only three:

6. Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is wrong, please tell us first. We would rather fix a billing error in a day than have a payment processor adjudicate it over several weeks. Raising a dispute without contacting us does not get you a faster outcome, and a licence associated with a reversed payment may be revoked at the registry, which stops future downloads — though, consistent with the rest of this page, it does not stop software already running on your hardware.

7. Price changes

Published prices may change. A change never applies to a term you have already paid for. If a price changes before your renewal, the new price applies from that renewal, and declining to renew remains available to you for any reason, including that one.

8. Where this sits

This page summarises and does not replace the Terms of Service and, for licensed software, the Software Licence Agreement. Where this page and an executed agreement differ, the agreement governs. Questions: legal@saluca.com.
